Haku & Lei

Haku is a style of Lei which entails the action of placing florals onto a type of weaving or braiding. Someone told me once: “If you were to show a Haku to a professional Lei maker, the first thing they would do, is turn the Lei around and check the back.” This is true, so we like to make sure our Haku and Lei remain impressive and Traditional in their making. We use Lauhala strands to weave our Leis and incorporate techniques from various Polynesian backgrounds.
